1- Fill up the 9 gallon bucket. pour 4 gallons out of the 9 gallon bucket into the 4 gallon bucket pour out 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 5 gallons. Pour 4 gallons out of the 5 gallons in the 9 gallon bucket into the 4 gallon bucket pour out 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 1 gallon.

2-Fill up the 4 gallon bucket. Pour it into the 9 gallon bucket. Fill another 4 gallon bucket and pour it into the 9 gallon bucket and leaves you with 8 gallons. Fill up the 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 12 gallons. Pour a gallon out of the 4 gallon bucket into the 8 gallon bucket leaves you with 3 gallons in the 4 gallon bucket and 9 gallons in the 9 gallon bucket and then pour out the 9 gallon bucket and leave with 3 gallons. Pour the 3 gallons into the 9 gallon bucket. Fill up the 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 7 gallons.pour the 4 gallon bucket into the 9 gallon bucket until its full leaves you with 2 gallons in the 4 gallon bucket which then together leaves you with 11 gallons.Dump out the 9 gallon bucket. leaves you with 2 gallons.

3-Fill up the 4 gallon bucket. Pour it into the 9 gallon bucket. Fill another 4 gallon bucket and pour it into the 9 gallon bucket and leaves you with 8 gallons. Fill up the 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 12 gallons. Pour a gallon out of the 4 gallon bucket into the 8 gallon bucket leaves you with 3 gallons in the 4 gallon bucket and 9 gallons in the 9 gallon bucket and then pour out the 9 gallon bucket and leave with 3 gallons.

4-fill up the 4 gallon bucket

5- Fill up the 9 gallon bucket. pour 4 gallons out of the 9 gallon bucket into the 4 gallon bucket pour out 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 5 gallons.

6-Fill up the 9 gallon bucket. pour 4 gallons out of the 9 gallon bucket into the 4 gallon bucket pour out 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 5 gallons. Pour 4 gallons out of the 5 gallons in the 9 gallon bucket into the 4 gallon bucket pour out 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 1 gallon. Fill up the 9 gallon bucket leaves you with 10 gallons. Pour out the 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 6 gallons.

7-Fill up the 4 gallon bucket. Pour it into the 9 gallon bucket. Fill another 4 gallon bucket and pour it into the 9 gallon bucket and leaves you with 8 gallons. Fill up the 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 12 gallons. Pour a gallon out of the 4 gallon bucket into the 8 gallon bucket leaves you with 3 gallons in the 4 gallon bucket and 9 gallons in the 9 gallon bucket and then pour out the 9 gallon bucket and leave with 3 gallons. Pour the 3 gallons into the 9 gallon bucket. Fill up the 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 7 gallons.

8-Fill up the 4 gallon bucket. Pour it into the 9 gallon bucket. Fill another 4 gallon bucket and pour it into the 9 gallon bucket and leaves you with 8 gallons.

9-fill up the 9 gallon bucket

10- Fill up the 9 gallon bucket. pour 4 gallons out of the 9 gallon bucket into the 4 gallon bucket pour out 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 5 gallons. Pour 4 gallons out of the 5 gallons in the 9 gallon bucket into the 4 gallon bucket pour out 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 1 gallon. Fill up the 9 gallon bucket leaves you with 10 gallons.

11-Fill up the 4 gallon bucket. Pour it into the 9 gallon bucket. Fill another 4 gallon bucket and pour it into the 9 gallon bucket and leaves you with 8 gallons. Fill up the 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 12 gallons. Pour a gallon out of the 4 gallon bucket into the 8 gallon bucket leaves you with 3 gallons in the 4 gallon bucket and 9 gallons in the 9 gallon bucket and then pour out the 9 gallon bucket and leave with 3 gallons. Pour the 3 gallons into the 9 gallon bucket. Fill up the 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 7 gallons.pour the 4 gallon bucket into the 9 gallon bucket until its full leaves you with 2 gallons in the 4 gallon bucket which then together leaves you with 11 gallons.

12-Fill up the 4 gallon bucket. Pour it into the 9 gallon bucket. Fill another 4 gallon bucket and pour it into the 9 gallon bucket and leaves you with 8 gallons. Fill up the 4 gallon bucket leaves you with 12 gallons.

13-fill up both buckets.
